CTO | Co-founder
Chuck Capel is the CTO and one of the co-founders of IBT Apps. With over 30 years of industry experience, he is responsible for significant movement in the banking technology space. Prior to developing the IBT Core platform, Chuck developed a banking core accounting system, PC BancPac, now owned and marketed by Fidelity (FIS) under the name “BancPac.” Currently, Chuck divides his time between two of the IBT Apps offices, Denver and Cedar Park, overseeing the product management team and the continuous development of products within the i2Suite Platform.
As CEO of IBT Apps, Mark Dittman is setting a new standard for how core processing behaves in the Financial Services industry. He understands the need to adjust to the various nuances of technology, and he knows that it starts with IBT Apps. As a business expert with over 30 years of experience in the financial technology space, Mark specializes in developing strategic partnerships with both clients and partners, while also simultaneously building the IBT brand as the head of Sales, Marketing, and Human Resources. Mark is thoughtful of industry issues and stays proactive by participating on several community-service and business boards in the local Austin area. He is also an active member of industry associations, including ICBA.
Executive Director of Software Development
Joel Kunze is the Executive Director of Software Development at IBT Apps. As head of the Software Development team at the Cedar Park office, he takes a hands-on approach by partnering with the Product Management team to deliver product offerings and enhancements in the i2OLB digital banking suite. Before joining IBT in 2004, Mr. Kunze spent more than 20 years in software development at NCR in San Antonio, Texas and 8 years in applied research at the Naval Research Laboratory.
COO | Co-founder
Mike Shubert is the COO and one of the co-founders of IBT Apps. With over 25 years of experience in the banking industry, he oversees the continuous development of the Operations and Implementations teams. In his role, he provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. Mike graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in CIS and Accounting from Tarleton State University.
Director of Marketing
Megan Copeland is the Director of Marketing and has worked in the financial banking industry for the past 7 years. Previous to her career in Marketing, she worked as a sales professional for fortune 500 companies as a manager and district trainer. Her broad understanding of customer and business needs guides her ability to advance the IBT Apps brand through inbound marketing, social media, and advertising strategies and acquire new business. Megan attended Azusa Pacific University and is continuing her education in Marketing and Business development.
Director of Compliance & Human Resources
With 20 years of experience in the banking industry, Kristy works alongside our board members to ensure our company is compliant with all regulatory and compliance related items. This includes ensuring our company is current with regulatory guidelines, internal compliance, and that vendor relations are prioritized. As the liaison for all employee relations, Kristy implements the culture, systems and training that develop key qualities needed amongst our staff. Her focus on improving internal processes and building an environment at IBT Apps that encourages employee retention and advancement, contributes to the culture and values within our company.
Before joining IBT Apps, Michael Korthuis spent over 20 years as a senior manager in IT for several financial service organizations. His broad experience in banking processes and data management provide a valuable IT perspective, enabling him to surmount the technological demands placed on a full-service data center. As CIO, he is responsible for advancing, troubleshooting, and providing the security infrastructure that enables IBT Apps to operate its internal business. Michael graduated Cum Laude from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He is also a graduate of IBA School of Bank Operations at Vanderbilt University and has a Masters degree in Information Systems Management from Keller Graduate School of Management where he graduated with Distinction.
Director of Business Development
Phil Layher has over 25 years of management experience working in the financial industry for large retail credit card sectors, FinTech start-ups, and early stage growth companies. As an accomplished leader in numerous executive, business development, and account management roles, Phil led client-focused teams to develop and build relationships for major brands like The Home Depot, Sears, and Sony. Most notably, Phil launched a specialty finance company from the ground up and grew it to over $75 million in receivables. At IBT Apps, Phil joins the sales and account management team in their mission to continue offering excellent customer service and support. In his role, Phil is responsible for managing new and existing client relationships and exploring opportunities for business growth. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business from Montana State University and currently resides in the Austin area.
Director of Operations
Stacy Solis draws on more than 19 years of bank operations experience to help drive internal improvement and develop strategies for organizational success. As IBT Apps® Director of Operations, Stacy directs the Implementations, Item Processing, and Support teams in assisting financial institutions with all aspects of their day-to-day operational activities. Prior to her current role, Stacy served as Implementation and Operations Manager, helping hundreds of community banks and credit unions to implement and effectively use IBT Apps® software and services. Stacy attended St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX.
Vice President of Sales
Tim Wells serves as Vice President of Sales for IBT Apps. With 35+ years as a banking professional, Tim has a wealth of experience to share with clients. His entrepreneurial talent has led him down many roads within the Financial Services industry. He is the founding partner of multiple companies including Markus Alliance, an IT security consulting & compliance firm serving the financial services industry, as well as Southwest Card Association, Inc., a member-owned trade association created to provide financial institutions with access to national card association networks. Tim also served as the E-Payment Specialist for the Community Bankers Association of Illinois, where he was selected by the state’s Attorney General to serve on an advisory panel that constructed the state’s E-Commerce Legislation and Regulations.
